Avent

Established 1984

Founded in 1936, Cannon Rubber launched Avent in 1984 as a brand of a new type of baby bottle that was short with a wide neck. Today, Avent is a big manufacturer of baby bottles, breast pumps and other baby feeding and health accessories. Avent was the first baby feeding company to produce teats from odourless and tasteless silicone. Other noteworthy patents are the steam and microwave steriliser and the piston-free breast Pump. In 2006 the company, then known as Cannon Avent, was sold to Philips and is now called Philips AVENT.
