Kokua
Established 1997Founded in 1997 by Rolf Mertens, the Kokua bike company manufactures the most iconic balance bike, the likeabike. The story is as straightforward as it is heartwarming: a father puts all his technical knowhow and endurance in building a special bike without pedals for his little sons. The company is still family owned by the Mertens family.
