Kärcher

Established 1935

Founded in 1935 by Alfred Kärcher, Kärcher is the world market leader in cleaning technology, mostly known for its high-pressure cleaners. In 1950, Kärcher invented the first modern pressure washer, the DS 350. Since then, Kärcher has made lead in the design and development of pressure washers.

In 1974, Kärcher launched the HD 555 (as pictured above), the first pressure washer for private users. In that same year the corporate color was changed from blue to yellow. Today, the company is still owned by the Kärcher family.
