Dubarry of Ireland
Established 1937Founded in 1937, Dubarry of Ireland manufactures premium performance footwear, clothing, leather goods and accessories. It started out as a co-operative company to provide employment in a small town called Ballinasloe, in the heart of Galway on Ireland’s West Coast. Named after a famous French courtesan, Madame du Barry, to give the brand a continental flavor, Dubarry’s beginnings were in the design and manufacturing of fine leather shoes. The business was fortunate to be able to draw on a local population of hard working craftsmen and women, and Dubarry soon developed a reputation for excellent workmanship and quality.
Their entire country boot range consists of Gore-tex lined leather boots. Dubarry’s signature boot is the Galway boot which is popular and commonly worn by equestrian and other outdoor enthusiasts, male and female alike.
