Hammer drill

Established 1941

Founded in 1941 by Martin and Eugen Hilti, Hilti AG is a manufacturer of products for the construction, primarily for the professional end-user. Hilti began as a company that produced equipment and components on contract for the German industry during World War II. The products included tank parts and ammunition components for the Nazi war effort.

After the war the company repositioned itself and began producing fasteners and other construction material. Hilti concentrates primarily on anchoring systems, firestops, installation systems and hammer drills. Hilti’s iconic rotary hammer drills and combi-hammers have received numerous awards and have been consistently named best in product reviews. Hilti is the absolute benchmark in this product category.
