Established 1952Founded in 1952 by Jan Mutsaers, Mutsaers is a manufacturer of handmade leather goods, best known for its iconic physicians bag. Using only the best, sustainable and eco-friendly leather from Italy, Mutsaers makes every bag by hand in its workshop in Kaatsheuvel, The Netherlands. Mutsaers is the only leather manufacturer left in the Netherlands and is currently led by the third generation.
Every doctor in The Netherlands carries the signature Mutsaers doctor’s bag. The Mutsaers bag is not just made by the highest standards, it is also very practical and accessible: you have everything you need at hand, especially at moments you really need it. The bag is also popular amongst business people. Supposedly, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands carries one.
