Potato peeler

Westmark GmbH

Famos (1956)

Founded in 1923, Westmark is a German brand of clever and practical kitchen gadgets and household articles. Most of their products are manufactured in their factory in Elspe by a team of long-year employees with a lot of experience in the plastic and metal production.

First introduced in 1956, the Famos potato peeler is their most iconic product. A very well-engineered item, this original Westmark peeler has been a classic in German kitchens for over 60 years and is now gradually taking over the rest of the world. The peeler is made to high commercial standards and can be used in professional and domestic kitchens alike. This stainless steel object of beauty has a super-sharp swivel blade and a stout potato eyer. Unfortunately it is for right-handed use only.

Why on Wikiconic?
Innovation, design.
