Established 1948

Founded in 1948 by Vittorio Bertazzoni in Guastalla, Italy, Smeg is an manufacturer of upmarket domestic appliances. The name is an acronym for Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla (‘Emilian metallurgical enamel works of Guastalla’).
