Alape

Established 1896

Founded in 1896 by Adolf Lamprecht in the town of Penig, Alape is a manufacturer of innovative and high quality sanitary. Innovations include the world’s first multi-purpose basin, the first built-in basin and the first bathroom cabinet-washtable combination. What makes Alape stand out is the glazed steel it uses to produce basins and washstands. In 2001 Alape became part of the Dornbracht Group.

Alape’s most iconic product is the bucket sink, which is commonly installed in basements, garages and gardens. It has the original form as the first multi-purpose sink, which was designed in 1930.
