Established 1932Founded in 1932 by Phil Young, Titleist is an American brand name golf equipment and apparel products. The Titleist story began when Phil Young missed a putt in a match with his friend, who was head of the x-ray department at a local hospital. Convinced that the ball itself was at fault, they went to the hospital, x-rayed the golf ball and found that its core indeed was off-center. With his discovery, Phil Young set out to develop the highest quality and best performing golf ball in the world. Today, every Titleist golf ball still is x-rayed as part of a process check. The Pro V1 and Pro V1x are the most played and best-selling golf ball models around the world.
