White Mountain
Established 1853Founded in 1853, White Mountain manufactures the oldest and most iconic ice cream maker in the world. The distinctive bucket is made out of sturdy and sustainable New England Pine wood. Generations have used the simple hand-crank model, but in 1953 White Mountain introduced an electric motor powered unit that revolutionized homemade ice cream making. Some people still like to turn the crank themselves, others like to turn the job over to the motor. Both crank and motor parts are interchangeable, so you can swap out one for the other using the same base unit. White mountain has managed to take an icon into the next century.
