Established 1908Founded in 1908 Paul Möbius as T. Paul Möbius KG., DUX makes the most iconic pencil sharpeners in the world. Paul Möbius is the inventor of the pencil sharpener as we know it today. With his revolutionary metal sharpener, Möbius obtained a market share in Germany of up to 75%. After financial difficulties (caused by the ballpoint pen), Paul Möbius’ company was taken over by DUX in 1981. In 1998, DUX was taken over by Standardgraph, but the brand name DUX was preserved.
