Karlstad Redskap
Established 1918Founded in 1918 by Paul Nilsson, Karlstad Redskap AB started as a tool factory along the shores of Klarälven River in Karlstad. At that time, the product range consisted of spades, shovels, pitchforks and rakes. The fittings for the shovels were patented as ‘pipe fittings’ and are still used today. Karlstad Redskap’s tools were significantly stronger and more durable than other tools available in the days. Today they stand out in ergonomics, extending the tools bit by bit through the years, due to the tendency of an ever-taller growing population. They also experiment with different choices of raw materials in order to decrease the tool’s weight.
