Jacket (M65 Field)

Alpha Industries

Established 1959

Founded in 1959 as a contractor to the United States military, Alpha Industries is a manufacturer of clothing of American military style. Their most iconic piece is the much copied M-65 jacket. First introduced in the late 1960s, the M-65 field jacket was based on jackets that had been used in the Korean and Second World War by the Army, but upgraded with a zipper, epaulets, a rolled hood in the collar and extra pockets. Alpha was one of the first to produce the M-65 in 1966 and we went on to produce them for the government through 1990. Originally it was introduced in olive green, shade 107, but it is now produced in a large variety of colors and patterns.

Trivia:
* the Jacket made appearance in many movies, including Taxi Driver (1976).
