Founded in 1966 by John Bowers, Bowers & Wilkins is a manufacturer of audio equipment, mostly known for its loudspeakers. B&W have invested a lot in research and development, which ultimately resulted in several loudspeaker innovations by B&W. Also, Bowers & Wilkins have been in partnership with several high end car manufacturers to develop in-car audio systems. However —

Launched in 2010, B&W’s most iconic product are their P5 headphones. This debut pair of headphones was a true statement of intent. The iconic leather-clad P5 mobile hi-fi headphones were launched as an luxurious alternative to the apple earbuds. And it worked. Period.
