Little Giant Ladders

Established 1970

Founded in 1970 by Hal Wing, Wing Enterprises produces the Little Giant Ladder System and is the largest manufacturer of American-made ladders. In 1970 in Germany, Hal Wing met inventor Walter Kümmerlin who worked on a prototype for a new kind of ladder. Kümmerlin sold his idea to WaKü ladders in Germany, and Hal Wing became the North American distributor. Little Giant shifted from importing to manufacturing by 1980. By 1985, the last patent ran out and Little Giant was free to manufacture the ladders on its own.

Today, the Little Giant Ladder is the benchmark of the telescoping articulated ladder market, and is the ladder of choice for construction, telecom, and other industries.
