Hestra
Established 1936Founded in 1936 by Martin Magnusson, Hestra is a manufacturer of gloves for Alpine- and Freeskiing. Magnussen started out making gloves for lumberjacks, made from strong leather and reinforced with rivets to withstand the hard work in the forest. When in 1937 a ski slope was created nearby and as its popularity grew, Magnusson saw a new market for his gloves.
Hestra’s most iconic gloves are the army leather Heli Ski, a modern classic with many functions. It is a longer model for those who often ski powder and need a durable and warm glove. Today, the company is still owned by the Magnusson family and focus remains on hands and gloves.
