Riess

Established 1550

In 1550 a pan-hammer mill was founded in Ybbsitz, Austria, which developed into a flourishing metal working business. Johann Riess came in command of the factory through marriage in 1801. In 1890 the hammer mill was converted into an operation for metal deep drawing and printing, and in 1922 Riess started enameling cookware. Today the 9th generation of the Riess family is managing the company.

The iconic Riess stock pot (as pictured above) has been in production for over 60 years; this heritage and history ensures the highest quality of production. Today, Riess also carries out an environmental policy, aiming to make the smallest ecological impact possible.
