Eres
Established 1968Founded in 1968 by Irene Leroux, Eres is a luxury brand of swimwear and lingerie, credited for having changed the concept of modern swimwear. Eres creates a collection of about 80 suits a year and was the first brand to sell swimwear year round.
In the 1970s, Eres became famous for its interpretations of bathing suits, eliminating underwires and padding from suit designs. They also created two-piece swimsuits with different-sized tops and bottoms. Eres was sold to Chanel in 1997, but still makes the best ‘little black swimsuits’ in the world.
