Shoehorn

Abbeyhorn

Established 1749

Founded in 1749 by the Humpherson family, Abbeyhorn manufactures shoe horns, shaving brushes, drinking horns and the Sgian Dubh – a decorative knife to wear with your kilt. All of the products are created from beautiful natural materials like horn, antler and bone, that have been saved from the scrap pile. Abbeyhorn sources materials that are meat industry by-products, following an ecologically sound philosophy. The manufacturing traditions have changed very little over the years, they even use some of the old machinery. In 1991, having worked for Abbey Horn of Kendal Ltd for eleven years, Paul Cleasby bought the company.
