Established 1874Founded in 1874 by William Lockie, William Lockie & Co Ltd. is a manufacturer of luxury knitwear, renowned for traditional technique and lasting quality. The company’s premises, on Drumlanrig Square, haven’t moved since Lockie started his business and is owned today by the Thorburn family, direct descendants of Lockie himself. Also, William Lockie is world leader in the manufacture of luxury knitwear for the most famous couture houses in the fashion industry and the most revered names on Saville Row, including Norton & Sons, and Tautz.
