Pruning shears (anvil)

Gebr. Schröder GmbH

Löwe 1 (1923), Gerard Schröder

An anvil pruner has a cutting blade that comes down onto the center of a soft metal or hard plastic lower surface, called the anvil or table.

Founded in 1923 by Walther Schroeder, Gebr. Schroeder GmbH is a manufacturer of a large program of pruners under the brand name Original LÖWE. Walther Schroeder developed the first anvil pruner of the world, the LÖWE 1, and applied it for a patent. The blades of the LÖWE pruners really stand out – they are virtually unbreakable. The steel blades are especially developed by a leading material institute for LÖWE.
