Espresso machine (domestic)

Vibiemme

Domobar (1983)

Founded in 1976 by Carlo Ernesto Valente as a restart of the Faema company, Vibiemme is a manufacturer of espresso machines, best known for its appliances for domestic use. Faema was considered by all to make the very best espresso machines, but the company was declared insolvent and handed over to the Italian state. Valente created a new company with two partners from the Faema management team and named the company VBM (pronounced ‘Vibiemme’): V for Valente, B for Biancolini and M for Meroni.

Launched in 1983, Vibiemme’s most iconic product is the Domobar. Using Faema’s famous E61 group, the Domobar was the first machine for the domestic market with professional performance. Today, it still is the leader in the field.
