Dehen

Established 1920

Founded in 1920 by William Peter Dehen, Dehen Knitting Company is a manufacturer of classic heavyweight college apparel. Most colleges have their own varsity letters, awarded to students for excellence in college activities such as being member of a prestigious varsity team.

In the 1920s, Dehen began knitting varsity and collegiate sweaters for student athletes. In the 50s, Dehen added the now fashionable Varsity Jacket to its product range, making each jacket by hand to the specification of each individual lucky enough to letter in his or her sport.
