Bulthaup

Established 1949

Founded in 1949 by Martin Bulthaup, Bulthaup is a German kitchen manufacturer, mostly known for its minimalistic and clean designs. In 1974, Bulthaup introduced the C12 kitchen program, which pioneered flexible kitchen designs that were unusually modern for its time. In the 1970s Bulthaup worked closely with designer Otl Aicher, who reflected the tradition of the Bauhaus movement.

In 2004, the company expanded its role as market leader with the introduction of the iconic Bulthaup B3 (as pictured above). Instead of creating a kitchen based solely on a floor plan, the B3 set the tone of bringing the walls to life. Today, the B3 still is considered a status symbol.
