Cleveland Golf

Established 1979

Founded in 1979 by Roger Cleveland as ‘Cleveland Classics’, Cleveland Golf is a manufacturer of golf equipment, mostly known for its innovative wedges. Cleveland was the first company to market wedges with multiple bounce options and individually milled grooves. One of their best designs was the 588 (as pictured above), which would become the archetype for almost all modern wedges to follow. To this day, the 588 wedge is one of the best selling golf clubs of all time.

The Cleveland Golf brand today is owned by SRI Sports Limited, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
