Established 1889Founded in 1889 by Max Bessey as a bright steel drawing plant, Bessey Tool GmbH & Co. KG is one of the largest hand tool clamp manufacturers in the world. Internationally recognized as a world-class steel maker, Bessey first introduced the malleable cast iron bar clamps in 1936, followed by the heat-treated, all steel L clamps in 1952. These patents mark the beginning of the production of the iconic clamping tools by Bessey.
