Established 1904Founded in 1904 by Dr. Hugo Güldner, Dr. Carl von Linde and Dr. Georg von Krauss as Güldner-Motoren-Gesellschaft, Linde Material Handling GmbHis a manufacturer of forklift and warehouse trucks and is the market leader in Europe. In 1929 Linde purchases all the shares in Güldner-Motoren-Gesellschaft and started to manufacture tractors. With the acquisition of the hydraulics manufacturer Gusswerk Paul Saalmann & Söhne in 1958, Linde shifts production to industrial trucks and hydraulics. With the take-over of competitors such as Baker Material Handling Corporation, Fenwick and Lansing Bagnall, Linde strengthens the company’s sustainability and competitiveness. In 1985 they launch their most iconic forklift, the 351 series, which revolutionizes the world of forklift trucks in terms of design and handling performance.
