Established 1925Founded in 1925 by Gottlieb Stoll and Albert Fezer as Fezer & Stoll, Festool manufactures superior quality electric and pneumatic tools for professional users. The brand Festo Tooltechnic was introduced in 1933 and later became Festool. Over the years Festool obtained over 300 patents, which include the first portable chainsaw mortiser, the orbital sander, the portable circular saw with guide rail and the Domino joiner.
Launched in 1951, Festool’s vibrating sander revolutionized surface finishing and became synonymous with the swinging block linkage sander. In 1976, Festool introduced the first random orbit sander with integrated dust extraction.
