Soda syphon

Sparklets Ltd.

Established 1896

Founded in 1896 as Aerators Ltd., Sparklets makes the most iconic soda syphons in the world.  Sparklets came up with a gas bulb that could add bubbles to still water. As the water was ‘gassed’, the glass syphons were covered in a wire mesh for safety measures. The first syphon was shown at the Paris International in 1900. In 1918, the company renamed itself to Sparklets Ltd.

The most iconic syphons are the Standard glass mesh models (as pictured above) and the Streamliner, a metal syphon. In 1990 Sparklets/ Heimsyphon (a German subsidiary) became part of iSi GmbH who manufacture the syphons today.
