Tripp Trapp (1972), Peter OpsvikDesigned in 1972 by Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik for Stokke, the Tripp Trapp is an ingenious highchair that revolutionized the children’s chair category. Opsvik noticed that his son had no chair that could position him at the correct height at the family dinner table and enable him to participate with the rest of the family. Ultimately, he went a step further in his design.
The Tripp Trapp has an intelligent, adjustable design, which allows freedom of movement with both depth- and height adjustable seat- and footplate. Thus the chair can be adapted as the child grows, and offers comfortable and ergonomic seating position at any age. Additionally the chair is correctly spaced and stable that even a young toddler can climb up into the chair safely by themselves. The Tripp Trapp high chair is made from beechwood.
