Eclipse

Established 1909

Founded in 1909 by James Neill, Eclipse makes the world’s frost iconic hacksaw. In 1889, James Neill patented composite steel and registered his products under the Eclipse trademark in 1909. He named his company after a successful racehorse and adopted the phrase ‘Eclipse first and the rest nowhere’ as a company slogan.

Elicipse manufactured its first hacksaw blade in 1911 and began manufacturing hacksaws in 1924. All hacksaws are now built according to their design. Eclipse is part of the Spear & Jackson group.
