Swivel chair 2533 (1958), Jørgen RasmussenDesigned in 1958 by Jørgen Rasmussen as an office chair for Kevi A/S, the Kevi 2533 swivel chair is the most iconic task chair for homes, offices, schools and workplaces. In 1965, Rasmussen updated the chair with an iconic invention: the double-wheel castor. The Kevi castor went on to be used in many products for various firms, such as Bang & Olufsen and Philips televisions and IKEA products.
In 1986, Kevi merged with Fritz Hansen and the production and marketing of the Kevi chairs came under the Fritz Hansen brand. In 2008, Rasmussen transferred the production and marketing rights to Engelbrechts A/S, which now owns the Kevi trademark.
